Sundress Crochet Doll Dress
Wavy Sundress for an 18-Inch Doll
By Yarnsensation Crochet Dolls
Hello everyone!
My latest design is a doll dress, one of my many designs. I had so much fun crocheting this little dress. Before I go any further, to place the dress on to your doll, slide her feet into the top opening and pull it on to her. I like making it easy to wear, because I prefer to make my dresses for all ages.
So, I had a design pop in my mind, I basically wrote out the idea first, then I drew a sketch of what I wanted the dress to look like. I first made the starting chain and kept adjusting it around the doll waist until the fit was perfect. This dress is design to fit loose around the doll. It is so loose that a shirt can be worn with it for a winter look.
I crochet my designs with ease in mind. I do not like complicated designs that require google search on how to complete it. My process is writing the pattern as I design the dress. Crazy, right!!💕After this step I have completed the pattern and a dress. Next, I type the pattern and print it. Then I used that pattern to crochet another dress, while making corrections to the pattern and the dress as I go. So the third dress, if I am lucky should be perfect. I have had to make several dresses before I feel it is okay to share the pattern on YouTube or for purchase.
I have learned over the years that we all crochet very differently, so please keep that in mind when using my pattern to crochet the design. Please make adjustments to your hook size if needed.
The wavy sundress should fit your 18 inch dolls. It fits my American doll and my Springfield Collection doll. Remember feet first, and the armholes are roomy (the pattern allows for adjustments), and as a step in dress it should make the dress easy to put on.
Do you just want to try the sundress for your lovely doll? She will love it.
I hope you enjoy my pattern.
